As of today Better Days is now available on iTunes and eMusic!

So, welcome to the new Paul Price & The Company website! We thought since we have a new record/name and such we should bring the site up to date and give it a make over. If you haven't noticed yet the web address is now www.paulpriceandthecompany.com

Better Days is in the process of launching on iTunes and that should happen over the next week or so. But 'till then you can grab a copy from CD Baby, off of our Music page here or head to our Bandcamp page to download your copy in high quality! For those who want the hard disc to hold and smell, (yes its a scratch and sniff!) you can soon order them from CD Baby as well...

So please take a look around, we have a lot more material coming over the next few weeks and please leave us a comment in the guestbook to let us know what you think.

And remeber:

Paul Price & The Company Album Launch Party

830 pm Saturday February 11th @ The El Mocambo with Low Level Flight and more....

Hey Guys! It has been a while, but we've been hard at work putting together the new record "Better Days". It's been a year in the making and I have been lucky to work with some amazingly talented people on this record. I have to say a huge thanks to Steve Andrews who not only killed the lead guitars on the record but did a ton of amazing producing, engineering, editing, comping and all the little bits and pieces on the record that took many hours out of his life. Without him this record would not have been possible!

The album will be released online on Wednesday Evening December 14th and i can't wait for you all to hear it! The official launch will take place on February 11th in Toronto so stay tuned for details on that - it promises to be an amazing night!

Anyways, have a listen to the title track off the album "Better Days",  I hope you enjoy!!! Cheers P

Finally, The Life Stains EP recorded in LA a rather long time back is now ready for download straight to your ears via CDBaby. The EP features The Tunes Her Planet and Come Back Home. I'm stoked that its now available for all to get their hands on and stay tuned for the release on iTunes coming very soon!!!!! But if you want it now click the link below!!

Its been kinda quiet on the out and about side of the the music front but things have been pretty busy behind the scene. Tons of writing and getting a few shows organized have been taking up most of my time... On the band front James Robertson will be a more permanent fixture in the project and writing with him starts very soon. So, it is time to get out again and play a few shows and Ive decided to make all 3 coming up as diverse as possible. Thurs the 24th at Holy Joe's will be a solo acoustic set with songs from the "Thinking Like A Stranger" being a prominent focus. Even some songs that have not been played live before. Then on the 31st July, James and I will be playing all the new stuff including a brand new song from the writing I have been up to lately with a killer band. The show is in support of our good friends The Beautiful Unknown's viral video release party and will surely be a huge night once again. See ya all round.... Holy gdhgd
Video footage of a rehearsal session in Geelong, Victoria last week before the melbourne shows.......
On july 2nd I will will have the chance to play for the first time in Melbourne. Im excited about the show so I hope to see a lot of old and new friends there!! Check The Shows Link for all the details...... Photobucket

Our short set of 6 Tracks which included...Big T.V, So Sorry, new songs-Crave You and Take Me Away and ended with Never Let You Go rocked out! The band sounded great and the energy in the near full Venue was huge! A Massive Thanks to Greg Suski for filling in on the Bass Guitar as Jezza was away, and after only 2 rehearsals under his belt, just nailed it! Hey, So just wanted to let you know if you head over to the hear it page you can hear some samples of the new tracks, or If you head to www.myspace.com/paulpricemusic you can hear the tracks in full. Seen Pearl Jam last night in New Jersey... Unbelievable show, which was just short of 3 hours long. If you have the chance to check em out, get there, I hear it's their last tour.
The album is soon to be released to the world via www.cdbaby.com. I think in a week it shall be ready for orders. It will also be available on a bunch of download sites including iTunes. This will be in about another month, so keep checking back to get the exact details. There is also talk at the moment of trying to put together a CD Release party in New York City, so If your in and around that area, I hope to see you out.. Details to follow.
So the Cd Release party was a huge success.. We went on a little later than expected, and played for just over an hour. One of the major highlights for me was playing 'Emotional Disease' with Ron and our little special guest 11 yr old Eamon Murphy on his violin.. He absolutely nailed the song and was a big hit with all the ladies. The band rock it out hard and the set finished with Never Let You Go. The encore was called for and we finished up with a new song I have written and the massive Pearl Jam song 'Alive' .. Tamborines, shakers, wood sticks were thrown out to the crowd to join in on the track, and as well know squash player Ben Gould grabbed a Tambourine, he jumped up on stage to bang out the last half of the song with the boys!! I personally had a great time playing my new songs and listening to the others sing their wicked tunes. Thanks to those who came out and drank like mad and made it a fun night. dont forget to check out some stuff on www.myspace.com/paulpricemusic
Hey, So, yep, I've been pretty slack on the updates for this site lately so There are a few things to fill everyone in on. My new songs have been finished and are now being thrown into the line up for the new album. I'm hoping to have this released in May and I'm really excited to have it done. Art work is now in progress and the title of the new album is being thrown back and forth. A Cd release party is being planned and I am just about to start rehearsing with a band to get the sounds down for this and other upcoming shows. Greg and I are both excited with the outcome of the new tunes and are keen now to start sending them out to see what comes of them. It's been a great experience for me to work with someone of Greg's calibre and the learning experience of the last few months has been amazing. On the performing front I've now started booking some shows and have just been asked to open up for the Singer/songwriter of the year on the Toronto Radio station mix99.9, Joshua Bartholomew. Date to be announced. So I'll be letting you know asap on the release date for the CD and where you can pick it up. Hope everyone is doing great. Cheers Paul
Hey, hope that 2006 has kicked off well for all!! Just got back from Melbourne, great to be home for a while with the family. Now back in North America, had three days in toronto then headed straight back to the airport to fly to New York for some doubles squash events. first is in Greenwhich, and the next one is in Manhatten. Its now 2pm,starbucks,Greenwhich Ave is chaotic with people rushing around everwhere trying to look like they are relaxed and enjoying their weekend off. This place amazes me, not much to do but lots to see, in a very un-inspiring way. Im thinking the movie pleasantville while here. All is in colour but Im seeing black and white. However Greenwhich has a family homely feel that can't be missed, it feels like the safest place on the planet!! Anyhow, I have a semi final match in an hour and a half, with my partner Jamie Bentley. We take on the big guns, Mudge and Waite. Should be a cracker. Back in the studio next week when I get back to Toronto, to finish up the three traks with Greg and then finally put the album together!! So, till soon Take it easy... P
Everybody everybody, how are we all doing?? Cool!! Well today is 6 days before I head home to Melbourne to soak in the sun and chill out at home!! Excited?? You f__king bet!!!! The recording sessions have been going extremely well and the three new songs are sounding great, Can't wait to get them out there for you all to hear!! The Live drums and bass and pretty much all guitars have been recorded, One set of vocals on the song "Never Let You Go" is complete, and tomorrow and thurs will see the completion of the vocals for the other 2 tracks, titled "Big T.V" and "All The Things You Said" Greg and I have had a wicked time hanging out recording these tracks so we look forward to the feedback when they are completed. There are some photo's up of the sessions now and more to come over the next week or so. Been to check out a lot of shows of late, My Chemical Romance, In-flight Safety, Most serene Republic being some of the highlights, but the biggest and best of the month would have to be hands down Butch Walker!! If you have the chance, do not miss this guy, it is retarded how good his performance is!! In more muse news I have started to put a band together in Toronto to start working some stuff out when I get back out here in Mid Jan 06'. Can't wait to start producing the bigger sounds that come with a full stack of players and noise!! Well people's of the world take it easy and check out the new pics and there could even be a small sample of one of the new tracks up!!! Cheers P
The show at the Free Times on Thurs went extremely well. Had a great turnout and all that braved it and came out seemed to have a wicked time. Thanks to all that made the effort to come out. Nils (The RAA) started off the night with a great set and then I followed up with the place pretty much full!! Will have some photo's of the night up shortly. Thanks again to all who came out and made the night a wicked experience for Nils and I Cheers P
Well The NY trip was pretty crazy!! Seen NINE INCH NAILS on WED night at Madison Square Garden, with death from above 1979 and Queens of the stone age! This show was as intense as it gets, with Trent Reznor going bezerk at every stage possible!! Def the highlight of the trip. A few nights out and a lot of walking around the city made the week go fairly quick!! Today I was back in the studio, with Greg and we basically finished pre production on 2 of the tracks, still deciding on the 3rd. The work today was cool with the songs starting to take a new life other than the one they had as an acoustic track. I look forward to putting up a sample soon!! Its now 11pm and I'm getting my set list together for tom nites show then Im done!! Play first match tom also for the doubles event here in toronto, 2pm is the kick off so the next few days are crazy busy!! Artist of the week for me , is Elliott Smith. Check it out !! OUT!!!!>>>>>>>>????>>>>>>>>>

Well this is the start of the ongoing journal, where I will just basically write a bunch of stuff about whatever I like!! You know like whats going on where I am and crap like that!! In New York right this second, sitting in the Hotel room at the Very upscale university club, where I have just played a squash tourny. My first for a very long time!! Had myself a loss last night and my ass is basically on fire today!! Seen a wicked band play at Arthurs Tavern last night and off to jam tonight with a fellow singer songwriter Brian Mathias. The energy here in the Big Smoke is electric. It's near impossible to sleep here and there is so much shit to do it's insane. By far one of my favourite cities in the world!! Random- I'm currently killing the My Chemical Romance record right now!! So take it easy, and stay tuned... Out!
The 3rd sept at the Distillery district was an awesome event. The show attracted an amazing amount of talent and a great time was had by all. Thanks to all that showed up to see my set, and I hope that you enjoyed siting in the sun listening to some tunes and drinking some booze. Big thanks to Jane Harbury, for inviting me to play in the festival. Working on getting a few shows together soon, so updates will be around the corner.
This weekend from the 2nd - 4th of September is the City Roots Festival in Toronto. I will be performing at 1:45pm on the Sat (3rd Sept) afternoon on the canteen stage, along side a few new upcoming artists. The festival will feature artists from all genres of music and is sure to be a great event, especially because its held in the distillery district(plenty of booze!!). For more info head to www.torontocityroots.com Hope to see all the local T.O crowd there!!
Hey, Lots of new stuff happening. The song 'So Sorry' off the ep is going to be in the upcoming feature independent film called 'Nothing Touches'. A story of a young boy who contracts the HIV virus, and his daily dealings with his now forever changed life. Details on the release of the film will be known soon. Recording has started on a couple of new tracks and the progress sounds great. An updated sneak preview will be availabe in the next few weeks. Also check out some new photos on the mug shots and the story section. So for now I'm outta here, Take It Easy!

Hey, It's been a busy month, with writing some new tunes for the next recording and training to get ready for the next squash season. In the upcoming few weeks I will go into the studio to record some new tracks with canadian producer Greg Kavanagh, winner of 2 juno awards here in Canada. I'm pumped to get these new tracks recorded as I feel they are a big step ahead of my current recordings and with Greg onside to produce them I'm confident that they will be awesome!! It will be a process that could take a while as with these songs I'm really going to try and nail my sounds down to exactly what I'm searching for. During the process there will be some samples of the songs as they go so look out for those!
The Ep demo Ten Thousand Reasons has now been put on hold to look at turning it into a full album with the upcoming new tracks being recorded in the next 2 months. I appreciate all the interest in getting hold of the CD however IF you can just bare with me to get this as right as possible, I will make it worth the wait.
I've just added a couple new tunes to the sounds page. These tracks are one's that didn't quite make the EP.. So I've loaded them up so you can download them, and take them with you everywhere!!! Or Nowhere whatever you want really. Enjoy and keep passing on the news about the music and site, the more the drunker, oh I mean merrier or something like that!>
Well it's been a crazy 2 weeks since launching the site. Thanks to all that have stopped by and checked it out and who have sent forth their thoughts. I spent all of last week in Manchester, Eng, at a squad camp for the Aussie Commonwealth games team, which went well, was good to get back on court. (I'm also a pro squash player for the one's who don't know me personally) More on that stuff in the bio coming up this week. The gig at The Loft(studio 2) on the 14th was awesome!! My fellow performers, Charlene Donavan and Anna Torontow, were amazing, and they added an element to the evening which was unique beyond most encounters. If you caught the show hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. There will be some shots of the night coming on soon, so check them out!! A few nights ago I played at The whistling Walrus in Hamilton!! I can't say I have ever seen a bar more full on a tuesday night ever!!!! Great time and I look forward to playing there soon again, So it's pretty quite times coming up for me, I'll be working on a lot of new material, and training to get fit again to play a few events on the squash scene. Till next time..... P
So i forgot to mention.. Went to see The Stereophonics on the 11 may. Wicked show! Kelly jones never stops putting it out there in his performances and the sound was incredible!! However, we arrived at the show with no idea who the support was. It turns out that thhey are called Augustana. And these guys were awesome, they are from California and I predict big things for them. They had the entire place buzzing with the question. Do you know who these guys are?? They impressed all. So I have put the link to their web site up on my links page, If you get a chance check them out and watch out for their album in july!!!
